The resolution asks federal legislators to implement a policy modeled after the DuPage County Healthy Roads Initiative, which encourages the accommodation of non-motorized users along highway systems by incorporating sidewalks, bike-paths, or multi-purpose trail improvements where feasible and cost effective.
